IT TAKES TIME to transform the human to the divine or to degrade those formed in the image of God to the brutal or the satanic.  {1MCP 225.4}  
By beholding we become changed. Though formed in the image of his Maker, man can so educate his mind that sin which he once loathed will become pleasant to him. As he ceases to watch and pray, he ceases to guard the citadel, the heart, and engages in sin and crime. The mind is debased, and it is impossible to elevate it from corruption while it is being educated to enslave the moral and intellectual powers and bring them in subjection to grosser passions.  {1MCP 225.5}  

CONSTANT WAR
against the carnal mind must be maintained;
and we must be aided
by the refining influence of the grace of God,
which will attract the mind upward and habituate it to meditate upon pure and holy things.

Since it takes time to develop Christ-like character and we are constantly bombarded by corruptive influences - it is very important to start as soon as possible. What can you do?

- determine in your mind to put aside each day one hour, or one hour at least once a week. This investment will be richly repaid, we promise you.

- you can start to listen to the seminar "From Glory to Glory"

- two people walk through the same place or situation. One sees only bad stuff or its insignificance while another person with his eyes anointed by Holy Spirit can see opportunities to be a blessing or danger to avoid. In other words - you can consider listening to this seminar as a theory part and the rest of the day your "hands on" practical experience. GOD is each day preparing for you a number of situations which either show up your weaknesses or offer an opportunity to gain a precious victories. Be faithful in small things and when the big stuff comes you will be ready...

One of the best ways to focus on character building is either to study this subject as a family or in a small group in church. This way you can hold each other accountable as you progress and support each other.
